AMD says nothing about HW3 or HW4
The two lines are independent. Read both before you compare feature lists.
Tesla software · Hardware
Your Tesla has two computers that decide different features. Where to read both in the car, and which recent features need which.
Short answer
Every recent Tesla has two separate computers. The infotainment computer (AMD or Intel) runs the screen, apps, Toybox and Grok. The driving computer (HW3/AI3 or HW4/AI4) runs the cameras, Autopilot and FSD. Read both under Controls › Software › Additional Vehicle Information. They are independent: an AMD car can still have HW3, which is why so many feature lists say “AMD and HW3” or “HW4 only”.

Do not guess from the delivery year or the outside of the car. Some years were built with either computer.

In 2026.38, Intel-era cars got Supercharger site maps, and Intel Model S and X got FSD v14.3 Lite for the first time.
Several outlets expect v14 Lite to be the last big FSD generation for HW3. Tesla has not confirmed that.

No. AMD is the infotainment computer; HW3 and HW4 are driving-computer generations. A car can have AMD with HW3.
Grok needs the AMD infotainment computer and Premium Connectivity or Wi-Fi, and is only offered in some countries.
Summaries in our own words, not Tesla’s release notes. Features depend on model, hardware, market and software version; the notes in your car take precedence.
