Tesla software
Tesla software updates, explained
What each recent Tesla update brings, what it means for your car in Europe, and how to check missing features, delayed updates and hardware. In English and German, with sources.
Did you know?
Small things recent updates changed, most of them missing from Tesla’s own notes.
Seat heaters have a timer now
Since 2026.32, they may switch off after about 20 minutes. Tesla did not mention it.
Trick or Treat unlocks more than you think
While it runs, Sentry Mode, the alarm and walk-away locking are off.
A phone inside is a key inside
A paired phone left in the car with Bluetooth on lets anyone open the door, even after locking in the app.
AMD does not mean HW4
Infotainment and driving computer are separate. Many features need a specific pair.
Your wheel choice changes your range
Wheel Selection feeds the range estimate: no aero covers, more drag.
.100 usually means Europe, until it does not
European FSD builds carried .100 in 2026; then 2026.39.6 broke the pattern.

How we check
Documented
Settings, menu paths and behaviour come from Tesla’s manuals and support pages.
Reported
Builds, dates and regions come from public trackers and are labelled. No rollout percentages: samples go stale in days.
Unknown stays unknown
If no source says a feature reached your country, we show a question mark instead of guessing.
